Barbara Lynn Rana-Decker

Barbara (LaBlue) Rana-Decker 81, of Ashaway, RI passed away Monday, March 18, 2024 at Hope Hospice in Providence RI. She was born in Adams, MA, 6/12/1942, the daughter of Susan and Raymond LaBlue. Barbara lived in Ashaway, RI since 1973, where she led an extremely busy and fulfilling life raising her three sons, and supporting them with her passion for work, as the Director of Materials at Yardney Electric in Pawcatuck, CT. She loved planning and working in her gardens and figuring out what new plants to introduce each year. She spent much of her time supporting neighborhood causes, and staying present in her four grandchildren’s lives, each of whom she loved dearly. She was a loving owner to her German Shepherds, who were a big part of her daily joy, and she, to theirs.

Barbara leaves behind her loving husband of 33 years, Ken Decker, three sons; Philip Scalise and his wife Laura, of Ashaway, RI, Jeff Rana and his wife Kelly, of Exeter, RI, and Todd Rana of Ashaway, RI, her four beloved grandchildren Philip J. Scalise and his wife Saray, Caitlin Scalise and her husband Cody Fournier, Connor Rana, and Jeffrey R. Rana, and her closest friends Judy Lewis and Betsy Kudrick.

Funeral proceedings will be private.
