I can't tell you how sad I am about the passing of Candace.
She was one of my yoga students for an after school class I taught for teachers at Sacred Heart. The yoga was very healing to Candace and the smile on her face at the end of every class warmed my heart! She was a vibrant, beautiful, and very special person. We always spent a little bit of time after each class,....and she shared with me how much the yoga was helping her. So I had the honor of not only teaching her, but also the pleasure of becoming friends with her! She was a joy to be around!

So sorry for your loss. Candy & I were best friends in the early years at Pine Point. I have met very few people in life who are as unselfish as Candy. Her name fit her to a tee, as sweet as she has always been. I pray that her love for family will sustain you now and in the days ahead.

Dear Tom and Keelin,
Candy meant the world to me. She was breath of fresh air even through her struggles. I admired so much about her - her sense of humor, her open mind and willingness to learn new things, her unassuming nature. The way I will remember her most is sitting at the easel, a group of students surrounding her, as she began the day's mini lesson in writing workshop. She would lean forward and open herself up to those young writers with stories of her life and show them how to create, step by step, the most engaging narratives. She excited and inspired hundreds of young writers through the workshops she conducted. Such an exceptional teacher - and friend. I will miss her terribly.
With love and prayers,
Geri
