Christopher M. Bosma, 41, long-time resident of North Stonington, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 18, 2017.
Chris was born June 25, 1976, in Groton, CT to William & Mary (Kulesa) Bosma. He attended North Stonington Schools, graduated from Ella T. Grasso Technical High School and went on to be the proud owner of “Made in the Shade Sheetmetal”, an HVAC and custom sheet metal shop.
Chris was a loving father to his son, Isaak, who he cherished spending time with. In addition to being a Dad, Chris was an outdoor enthusiast. Some of his favorite activities included hiking, kayaking, boating, white water rafting, camping, rock climbing, and weekend trips to Sandy Point to catch clams and relax with friends. He was also passionate about working on his multiple trucks.
Simply put, Chris lit up any room. He had an infectious laugh and his smile shined. Above all though, Chris had a heart of gold. He was always there to help a family member or friend in need. He will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
He is survived by his son Isaak, his mother Mary, two brothers; Jeremy and Jon, a nephew Patrick, a niece Amelia; and his partner Cindy Meshanic. In addition to his immediate loved ones, Chris was adored by the members of his extended family as well. Chris is pre-deceased by his father, William.
Calling hours will be at Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home 121 Main St. Westerly, RI on Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 4-7 pm. A memorial service will be held at Buckler-Johnston on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 11 am followed immediately by internment at Union Cemetery in North Stonington, CT.
