Kenneth Webster, Jr., 75, of Hopkinton, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Westerly Hospital. He was the husband of Christy Lee (Sherman) Webster. Born on March 11, 1942 in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, he was the son of Kenneth and Bessie Lucille (Morgan) Webster, Sr.
Kenneth served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. Following his time in the service, he went on to work as a maintenance person for Providence Gas for more than 40 years until his retirement. Outside of the office, he had liked to fish in his younger years and continued to enjoy hunting and was a member of the Ashaway Gun Club. Watching sports was one of his favorite past time activities including NASCAR, the Red Sox and the Patriots. Most importantly he was a good husband and father and will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
Besides his wife Christy, he leaves his daughter Jamie Lynn Webster, a grandson Xavier Webster, his siblings Joe Webster and his wife Diane, David Webster and his wife Iva, Marie Oliver and Linda Moore and her husband Jimmy along with several nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his son Michael K. Webster.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Buckler- Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main Street, Westerly, is assisting the family with arrangements.
