Louis Joseph Harold, 72, of Westerly, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Following his 21 years of active service, he spent 22 years with Sonalysts,Inc. before retiring in 2013.
He enjoyed spending time working around the yard, watching football on Sundays, and being around his family. Throughout his life he valued his family and friends above all things. One of his greatest joys came from being surrounded by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a loving husband, a dedicated father, and a compassionate and devoted Papa.
Mr. Harold is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marjorie Harold. He is also survived by his son Scott Harold and his wife Deborah; by daughter Katharine Harold Carter; his grandchildren Karrianne, Elizabeth, Shelby, Rees and Emma and by his great-granddaughters Sofia, Maddison, and Bria. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of calling hours and a service, a private gathering of family and close friends to celebrate his life will take place at a later date.
