Tribute

Maureen Lynn (Clemmer) Carboni, 75, of Westerly, RI passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday, March 7, 2024. Born in Middletown, New York on October 1, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Myrtle Irene (Schooner) Clemmer.

Maureen moved from New York State to Rhode Island for her education. She attended Johnson & Wales University where she graduated with an associate in science administrative assistant degree. She worked for several years for the Town of Westerly in the tax assessor's office. Leaving there she found the job that would bring her up to retirement at the Westerly Hospital, where she was the executive assistant for two of the Chief Executive Officers. After retirement she combined her love of boutique shopping and style by joining the retail team at Bea Smith’s in downtown Westerly.

After years of hard work, Maureen enjoyed living life and traveling. She went on many wonderful vacations with family and friends. This was one of her favorite pastimes. She also adored lunches and spending time with girlfriends. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and partner. From vacations, holiday baking, going to the theatre, shopping trips, summertime beach days and cookouts, she made so many wonder memories and traditions that will be remembered and honored for years to come.

Maureen is survived by her loving companion Joseph Maloney, her daughter Nikki K. Lamb and son in law Zach Lamb; granddaughters Ella, Avery and Brynn; stepson Dean Carboni; her brother Louis Clemmer and wife Nancy; several nieces and nephews; and last but certainly not least her beloved fur baby Biggy. She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Irene Clemmer and ex husband Ronald Carboni.
