Peter Edward Moran

Peter E. Moran, 73, of Westerly, RI, formerly of Bronxville, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 with his beloved wife and soulmate, Eileen (O’Neill) Moran and his cherished daughters by his side. Peter and Eileen had just celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary. He was the son of the late Edward and Grace (Bodenstein) Moran.

Peter was a publisher of trade publications for 30 years. Peter’s greatest job was spending time with his family. He also enjoyed golf, lounging on the beach and spending time in sunny Florida. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him for his sense of humor and humble demeanor.

Besides the love of his life, Eileen, he is survived by his three wonderful daughters Kimberly Finn (Rob) of Larchmont, New York, Meredith Carre (Steve) of Darien, CT and Courtney St.Clair (Duncan) of Mamaroneck, New York. Peter adored his grandchildren Caroline, Robert, Julia and Audrey Finn and Stephen, Lily, Ryan and Cullen Carre. He was predeceased by his sister Cecelia Moran.

Calling hours will be Friday, May 26, 2017 from 5-7pm at Buckler- Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main Street, Westerly, RI 02891. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 11am at the Church of St. Clare, 4 St. Clare Way, Westerly. Family and friends are welcome to meet directly at the church for the mass. Burial will follow immediately after the mass at River Bend Cemetery in Westerly.
