Timothy E. Nugent

GRISWOLD, Conn. - Timothy E. Nugent, 56, of Griswold, Conn. and formerly of Westerly, R.I., died peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017 at Yale-New Haven Hospital while awaiting a heart donor transplant. He was the beloved husband of Ronda (Brown) Nugent.

Born in Westerly, R.I. on July 11, 1961, he was the son of Barbara (Spencer) Nugent and the late Donald I Nugent.

Tim was an auto mechanic for Valenti Auto Mall for many years and he had also worked at Mallon Chevrolet.

He was an active member of the First Hopkinton Seventh Day Baptist Church in Ashaway, R.I.

Besides his wife and his mother, he will be sadly missed by his daughter, Sherry Lynn Nugent; and his beloved cat, Lucy. He was predeceased by his brother, Donald I. Nugent Jr.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 1 p.m. at the First Hopkinton Seventh Day Baptist Church, 8 Church St., Ashaway, R.I. A calling hour will precede the service from noon to 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in First Hopkinton Cemetery, Ashaway.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly, R.I.
