Anita (Mandojana) Jennings, 88, of Westerly, passed away at the Westerly Health Center on Friday, June 29, 2018. She was the loving wife of the late Chester Jennings. Born in New York City, NY on July 12, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Anna (Horvath) Mandojana.
Anita was a caretaker and enjoyed helping others in every aspect of her life from her work at the Department of Social Services in Norwich to her family at home. While raising her family, she was able to achieve a Master’s Degree and was bilingual speaking both English and Spanish fluently. She was also an athlete in her earlier years and was scouted by professional teams to play field hockey along with playing tennis and bowling. In her later years, she loved to go with her husband to Blue Grass festivals. Most importantly, she loved her family and will be dearly missed by those who knew her.
She leaves her children Christine A. Seibert, Corinne Landau and her husband Peter and Bill Seibert; her 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a sister Elena Roy along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Albert R. Mandojana.
A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
