Ann Marie Gencarella

Ann Marie Gencarella, 58 of Boston, MA and Middletown, RI, formerly of Westerly passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Saturday, May 13, 2023.  Born in Westerly, RI on October 27, 1964, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Francis J. and Barbara A. (LaPere) Gencarella.

After graduating from Providence College, Ann had long, distinguished career as a Senior Financial Officer at 9th Gear, John Hancock Financial Services, JP Morgan Chase, Bank One and Bank Boston.  Ann had many interests but most enjoyed spending time with family, friends and her dog, Treddy. 
 
Ann is survived by her siblings Gina Lynch and her husband Michael, Julie Vilandre and her husband Charles, and Joseph Gencarella and his wife Pamela.  She also leaves 12 nieces and nephews: Andrew (Michaela), Alexandra, Danica, Marissa, Philip (Victoria) and Matthew Lynch, Christopher (Caeli), Nicholas (Ashlee) and Vanessa Vilandre, Stephen, Emily and Abigail Gencarella and 4 great nieces and nephews; Cadhla , Maeve, Ella, and William.

All donations to Dana-Farber in Ann’s name will go directly to Ovarian Cancer Research.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1pm at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 44 Elm St. Westerly.  All are invited to meet directly at the church.  Burial will be held following the mass at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly.
