Carolyn Enos Turner

Carolyn Enos Turner, 84, of New London, CT, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Bayview Health Care, Waterford, CT. Born on September 23, 1937 in New London, CT, she was the daughter of the late Robert F. and Loretta Marie (Chaliffoux) Turner.

Carolyn loved going to the Day Program and spending time with her great-niece Mikayla when she would come with Betty to visit. She enjoyed family outings especially dinners, picnics, parties and heading over to Karen’s for Thanksgiving dinner. She was a beautiful soul and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

She leaves her sister-in-law and caregiver Betty Turner of N. Stonington, CT; a brother William Turner of Bedford, IN; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister Beatrice Mellow and a brother Michael R. Turner, Sr.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at the Day Program, Sunrise Northeast and Bayview Health Care for their kindness and compassion for Carolyn while she was in their care.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St. Westerly, RI. Burial will follow at Smith-Lake Cemetery, Groton, CT. All are welcome to gather beginning at 10am at the funeral home.
