Constantin “Sticker” Caramiciu, 69, of Charlestown passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on December 31st after a short and courageous battle with lung cancer. The son of Dumitru and Anna Caramiciu, Sticker was born on November 14, 1952 in Manhattan, NY and lived for many years in Warwick, RI before settling in Charlestown. He was the loving husband of Martha Rice for 30 years.
Sticker was a talented and respected carpenter. He and Martha built a thriving carpentry business, Carpentry Plus, working together side by side for 20 years.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking, clamming, turkey hunting, trout fishing and yearly deer hunting trips with his lifelong group of friends.
Sticker was a devoted and active member of the Dunn’s Corners Community Church Presbyterian, serving as an Elder, Head Usher, and on many committees.
In addition to his wife, he will be sadly missed by his two daughters and son in law, Sarah and Dan Gauthier of Warwick and Katie Caramiciu of West Warwick, one beloved granddaughter, Beatrice “Bebe” Gauthier, his siblings, Tom and Pam Caramiciu of Florida, Alex Caramiciu, Madellaine and Raymond Costello of Texas, his brother in law and sister’s in law Peter, Juliet and Robin Rice of Westerly and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, his sister Ekaterina Bertwell and his brother George Caramiciu.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 4th at 11a.m. at the Dunn’s Corners Community Church, Presbyterian, 221 Post Road, Westerly, RI.
