Donna J. Storti

Donna Joyce (Ferrin) Storti, 85, of Wampanoag Avenue in Westerly, RI passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at her home surrounded by family after a brave battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was the beloved wife of Daniel Joseph Storti who predeceased her on March 19, 2006.

Donna was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on February 13, 1936 and later moved with her family to California where she attended Santa Rosa Junior College and San Jose State University. After teaching elementary school for several years, she devoted her life to her family, the Catholic faith and volunteer work.

She will be greatly missed by her four children, Dan J. Storti of South Kingstown, Deanne J. Ross (Robert) of Cumberland, Deborah J. Storti of Westerly and Deirdra J. Hayes (Patrick) of South Kingstown. Donna will also be sadly missed by her nine grandchildren; Austin, Spencer and Julianne Ross, Jacob Storti and Aidan, Ava, Alec, Adam and Andrew Hayes. Donna leaves behind a sister, Diane E. Allen (predeceased by her husband, Clark) of San Rafael, California and several nieces and nephews.
She was a devoted Catholic who loved to study the faith and spent years volunteering in the pro-life movement. In her advocacy for pregnant women and the unborn, she organized fundraising events and walks for life. Donna was an avid gardener and enjoyed hiking and camping with her family, including several cross-country trips to visit the national parks.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 12-3pm at Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main Street, Westerly, RI.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church, 538 Broadway, Providence, RI 02909 at 11am on Monday. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, RI.
