Elaine M. Johnson

Elaine M. (Rozanski) Johnson, 85 of Main St. Ashaway, RI died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 sourrouned by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard D. Johnson, Sr.
Born in Westerly, RI on July 24, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Walter and Martha (Loughborough) Rozanski.
Elaine attended Westerly High School; she was a member of the First Seventh Day Baptist Church of Hopkinton and the Ladies Aide Society. She worked alongside her husband in operating the family business, R. Johnson and Sons Tool and Dye Co. Elaine and her late husband of over 64 years had been avid Roller Skaters.
She will be remembered as a devoted and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Elaine will be sadly missed by her 8 children; Richard D. Johnson, Jr. (Karen) of VA, Walter W. Johnson (Vivian) Coventry, RI, Dorothy L. DeRemer (John) of North Smithfield, RI, Sandra E. Zabriskie (John) of Charlestown, RI, Charles E. Johnson (Karen) of Ashaway, RI, Barry E. Johnson of Ashaway, RI, Robert J. Johnson (Joanne) of Ashaway, RI, and Donald L. Johnson (Kim) of Hope Valley, RI. She also leaves; 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter; Beverly A. Johnson and her three sisters; Anges Wallace, Julia Robinson and Pauline Bertoni.
The Johnson family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 4-8 PM at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly, RI. Funeral service and burial will be private.
