Elisabeth A. Parise

Elisabeth “Betty” Parise passed away on August 20, 2017. She was born in Dudelange, Luxembourg on July 8, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Mathais and Marie Lemmer Espen.
Betty was the beloved wife of Salvatore (Sal) Parise whom she met while he was serving in the Air Force in Germany. They were married on January 16, 1954 in her hometown of Luxembourg.
As a young girl, Betty enjoyed greeting the American Soldiers during World War II who liberated her country. She worked for many years as a retail associate and in later years at Foxwoods as a sales person. She was a life associate member of the Westerly Yacht Club.
Besides her loving husband Sal of 63 years, she is survived by her two sons; Eugene and Richard Parise, her loving grandchildren; Sara, Amy, Sasha and Danny, as well as several nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.
The Parise family would like to give special thanks to the staff at the Westerly Health Center for the care of Betty.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 5 to 7pm at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St. Westerly, RI . Burial services will be private at a later date for family members only.
