Harold W. MacCall, Jr.

Harold W. MacCall, Jr. 76, of Ashaway, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. He was the loving husband of Virginia (Shea) MacCall. Born in Westerly on May 9, 1944, he was the son of the late Harold W. Sr. and Esther (Rathbun) MacCall Palethorpe.

Harold was a dedicated and hardworking employee as the floor manager for CT Castings, UFP Technologies in Pawcatuck, CT along with BDA for several years. Harold had also worked part time for Walmart. He had a passion for electronics which allowed him to help with the sound board for many events along with his talent for singing. He enjoyed sharing his voice especially gospel music as a part of choirs and as a soloist for weddings and funerals. He was a member of Second Baptist church and served as a chairman of the music committee.

Besides his wife Virginia, he leaves his son Mark MacCall of Ashaway; grandchildren Harper MacCall and Elina MacCall; brother Richard MacCall; half-sister Dawn Marcotrigiono and half-brother Walter Palthorpe.

Harold was predeceased by his son Harold W. MacCall III.

A celebration of Harold’s life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Second Baptist Church, 12 Stillman Rd. North Stonington, CT.
