Helen Ann (Borovichka) Miller, 93, of Westerly, R.I. passed away on January 24, 2021 at the Royal Westerly. She was born in Morrisdale, Pa on July 7, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Gavlock) Borovichka. She was the loving wife of the late Walter Adam Miller.
When Helen married Walter in 1947 they lived in Stonington Borough for two years. They moved to Westerly in 1950, and she resided there till the time of her passing. She loved the ocean and walking on the beach. Day trips to Watch Hill always included an ice cream cone treat. From the age of 29 she became very interested in politics which lasted until the day she died. She enjoyed engaging anyone she could in discussion of current events. She remained a loyal reader of The Westerly Sun, which she insisted be delivered to wherever she lived. Her last wish was to stay alive until the inauguration of Joe Biden, which she accomplished.
We want to thank the entire staff of Golden Years for 9 wonderful years of care and the entire staff of Royal Westerly for their compassionate end of life care.
She is survived by a daughter, Diana (James) Pothast of Duluth, MN, a son Walter Miller of Whitefield, NH, a granddaughter Jayme (Matt) Hansen of Davenport, IA, two great grandchildren Hannah Hansen of Brooklyn, NY, Jacob Hansen of Tampa, FL , a sister Dorothy(Edwin) O'dell of Clearfield, Pa and nieces and nephews.
