Hilda Jane Phillips

Hilda "Jane" Phillips (Jordan), age 65, passed away from breathing complications stemming from surgery on February 20, 2023, in Rhode Island Hospital.
Jane is survived by her three sons: Nathan Phillips of Hibbing, MN; Tommy Phillips of Pawtucket, RI; and Corey Phillips of Pawcatuck, CT. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, whom she loved very much! 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Amelia "Mickey" Coon, of Westerly, RI; her father, James Jordan, of Spiro, OK; and her stepfather, Samuel Coon, of North Stonington, CT. 

Jane was born on December 25, 1957, in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, to Amelia and James Jordan. She attended Westerly High School and had a short career driving semi-trucks cross country. 

Jane raised her sons in Hope Valley, RI, as a single mother, and though she struggled at many points in her life, she continually supported her boys and raised them with values rooted in God.

She was loved dearly by many family members; including her siblings, sons, and grandchildren. Her family and friends will always remember her as a kind and loving person.

During her final weeks, she was supported by her sons, her siblings Jim Jordan and Sam Coon, and her very best friend Alice Frizell. 

With her daughter-in-law Sarah by her side and her eldest son Nathan holding her hand, Jane left this earthly plane, ready to meet her Heavenly Father.
