James A. Cute

James A. Cute, 82, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 in Westerly, RI.  He grew up on a farm in South Attleboro, MA and raised his family in Pawtucket, RI.  He was the son of the late James A. and Lillian A. (Rick) Cute.

Jim worked 33 years as a union carpenter with the Rhode Island Carpenters Union Local 330 (formerly 94). He had a passion for vegetable gardening and enjoyed watching cooking shows,  recreating and cooking those meals to perfection.  He loved animals, especially dogs (and they loved him back).  He enjoyed playing cards, mostly poker, and could also tear up the dance floor with polka.  He cherished annual vacations to Florida with his family.  Jim was a devoted father and was proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a loyal and true friend to many.

He leaves his younger sister, Donna (Cute) Moyer (husband Philip); His former wife, Lucille Kelleher; His daughters Robin Smith (late husband Edward) and Brenda Gaudenzi, (husband Daniel); his three grandchildren; Kayla Friend (husband Brendan), Kerry Faria; (husband Mitchell), Nicole Ross, (husband Brad); six great-grandchildren:  Roman, Carson, Sage, Bodie, Cade, and Dempsey. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joan and his son, Jamie.
