James Robert Milam, 35, of Pawcatuck, CT passed away after a sudden illness at Yale-New Haven Hospital on Monday, May 14, 2018. Born in Newton, MA on May 7, 1983 he was the son of Susan Auerswald Milam.
Jim worked as a mechanic for Midas and was good with his hands. He loved to ride motorcycles and travel all over especially to his favorite hangout The Handlebar Café. You could find him Thursday nights participating in the shuffle board league in Westerly and when the weather was right, he enjoyed fishing. He was smart, had a great sense of humor and was one of the kindest people around. Family and friends meant everything to him especially spending time with his long-time girlfriend Kerry Allen. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Besides his mother Sue, he leaves his brother Matthew H. Milam, girlfriend Kerry Allen, uncles Steve, Bill and David Auerswald, several cousins and his special companions, his beloved dogs Rocky and Rosie.
Calling hours will be held from 5:00p.m. to 7:00pm. on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St. Westerly, R.I. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
