Jane K. Lenihan

Jane K. Lenihan, 83, of School St. Westerly, RI, died peacefully on Thursday November 16, 2023.
Born in Boston, MA on Leap Day in 1940 she was the daughter of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Rogan) Lenihan.
Miss. Lenihan graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a BA degree in Elementary Education and went on to teach generations of third graders in the Westerly Public Schools before retiring after 37 years of dedicated service.
Jane was an active communicant of St. Pius X. Church in Westerly where she attended daily mass and was lay reader. She also was a member of the former Napatree Business and Professional Women’s Club.
Jane is survived she is survived by her niece, Margaret Steele, many Lenihan cousins, life-long friends in the Teaching community and fellow parishioner of St. Pius X. Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday November 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Pius X. Church, 44 Elm St. Westerly, RI 02891. Calling hours are respectfully omitted and burial will be private in St. Michaels Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations in Jane’s memory may be made to St. Pius X. Church.
