Leonard C. Hedin

Leonard C. Hedin, 77 of Maxson Hill Road, Ashaway, RI died peacefully on Wednesday November 22, 2017 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Martin) Hedin.
Born in Brockton, MA on July 5, 1940 he was the son of the late Carlton and Astrid (Oman) Hedin.
Len was electrician and employed at Electric Boat, Murphy Old and several other Oil Field Companies before retiring. He was a member of the V.F.W and founding member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ashaway.
Mr. Hedin is survived by his two sons, Leonard C. Hedin, Jr. of Norwich, CT and Jeffrey A. Hedin of Charlestown, RI. He was predeceased by his son Douglas M. Hedin, Sr. He also leaves his six grandchildren; Bethany, Douglas Jr., Brittani, Joshua, Emily and Julie and one great granddaughter. He leaves his two sisters; Cheryl Sadowski of Voluntown, CT and Karla Kolle of Minnesota.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday November 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 110 High St. Ashaway, RI 02804. A calling hour will precede the service from 10-11. Burial will be in River Bend Cemetery.
