Tribute
Levia “Lee” (Dipanni) Finocchiaro, 99, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family at home Friday, July 22, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene Finocchiaro. Born in Providence, R.I., and attended Central High School, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Carmella (Decotis) Dipanni.
Lee was an active communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Westerly, and a member of the Daughters of the Isabella, Garden Club and Immaculate Conception Senior Citizens. She was a former Scout Pack 10 den mother and was awarded CYO person of the year.
Lee will be sadly missed by her children, Albert J. Finocchiaro (Irma) of New York, Dr. E. Terry Finocchiaro (Pedro Lopez) of New Jersey, F. William Finocchiaro (Lynn) of Rhode Island, Linda Trombino (Michael) of Rhode Island, Cathy A. Van Verdeghem (Douglas) of Connecticut, Nancy L. Rahmig (Rich) of Connecticut, and Robert H. Finocchiaro (Suzanne) of Rhode Island. She was the loving grandmother 14 grandchildren; and great-grandmother of 13 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2022, at the Immaculate Conception Church, High Street, Westerly, R.I.
A calling hour from 9 to 10:30 a.m. will be held prior to the Mass at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main Street, Westerly. Burial will follow in St. Sebastian Cemetery.
