My heart goes out to the Potts family and friends of Madeline in your time of sorrow. I know Madeline has left you with many precious memories from her 17 way too short years with you all. When death robs us of someone we love very much, it causes much sadness and grief. Jesus with the help of Jehovah (Psalms 83:18) God promises the only one who does not lie (Titus1:2) that we will see Madeline and our loved ones again by means of a resurrection (Acts 24:15, John 5:28, 29). I hope the Potts family will find some comfort and strength in Jesus promise of the earthly resurrection. Our loving heavenly Father, "Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. Revelations 21: 4 says: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." The Potts family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences. For more comforting and encouraging scriptures on the resurrection, please visit jw.org.

Dear Dan and Stephanie, Dick and I were out of the country when I got the terrible news about your daughter, Maddie. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I have great memories of you, Dan, at MVQ and often wondered how you were doing. Please know that my prayers have been with the two of you and your younger daughter, Julia. I was on vacation with my sister so I know how much Julia will miss Maddie.

Our deepest sympathies to your family and friends. My heart broke seeing the news i was in tears imagining what the parents, family and friends must be going through. Just last year my 17 year old son was a senior playing on the varsity soccer team for Portsmouth High School. We as parents watch them play, worry about them getting injured when their playing rough but never losing them on the field while taking a penilty kick. Portsmouth High Schools huge football game last night lined up their band on the track and the teams on the field while hundreds of people stood up for a moment of silence in Maddies memory. At the half time collections were taken in her name from a jam packed football field with Portsmouth on one side and Bristol/Warrren on the other. Communities all over the state who never knew her or her family coming together like this gives me some faith in humanity with everything that goes on in our world this day in age. Maddie is still bringing out the best in people and bringing people together as she looks down on us from heaven, GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Although we didn't know your family, our sister-in-law Sue Straw told us about your tragic loss and we wanted to let you know we are praying for you and your family. No parent should suffer the loss of a child but unfortunately, we, who have lost a child, know what heartache it brings. We pray God will enfold you with His love and comfort you for these days ahead and ask Him to sustain you with memories of her. May the angels welcome her into Paradise.

The Pott’s family, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. My last memory of Maddie was babysitting her and her sister, they were both very into barbies and princess’s back then. She grew up to be one amazing person and she left a footprint on so many people’s hearts. My thoughts and prayer’s are with you.

Our deepest sympathy for your loss. The right words or words in general don't easily come but we want you to know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Maddie made a big positive impact on Kassie even though they just met a few months ago. She continued the positivity, love and kindness that Mr Potts showed Kassie last year as a new student at CMS/team 8 blue. Her positivity, welcoming, and supportive qualities are just a few of the wonders of Maddie. Maddie will be in our hearts forever. #Forever11

Dear Mr. Potts, Stephanie and Julia,

Rosie and I are so very sorry for you, your family, your pets and all of Maddies friends. We were honored to be a part of such a beautiful tribute last night. Stephanie, your eloquent speech was sad, happy and uplifting! My daughter and I left feeling confident and full of positive energy that we would all pull through as a community because of your touching words. Thank you for that!

Bless Maddies beautiful soul into heaven.

Gear Steph and Family,

I was a patient of yours many years ago and remember when you were pregnant with Maddie. I work at Westerly Middle School, and I can tell you our entire school system is thinking and praying for your family. Maddie is very lucky to have had such a loving family. She obviously left an incredible mark on this world. God Speed and she will always live through you and your family. #11 for always and forever. A celebration to a life cut too short. She is kicking goals up in Heaven! Xo
