Nancy Slosberg Klotz

Nancy Slosberg Klotz, daughter of Harold and Rose Slosberg, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2017 surrounded by her family.
Nancy was born in Norwich, CT on April 4, 1940 and was a graduate of Norwich Free Academy and Tufts University. She spent her childhood summers on the beaches of Misquamicut and made Westerly her permanent home with her husband Paul Klotz in 1963. Together, Nancy and Paul enjoyed over 43 years of devotion, love, and respect.
Nancy was a gifted artist, potter, sailor and businesswoman. She opened Sun Up Gallery in Westerly, RI in 1976 and operated it until 2014. She was a creative and radiant woman with a true joie de vivre and infectious laugh. An exceptionally kind and generous woman, she will be missed by all who knew her.
Nancy follows in death her husband Paul, who died on April 24, 2004. She leaves two siblings Carol and her husband Gerald Finkelman; and Michael and his wife Karen Slosberg.  Nancy is survived by four children, Julie, her husband Mark Wolman, and their three children, Natasha, Gabriel, and Lian; Meredyth Klotz and her daughter Sofia; Abbey Klotz and her daughter Zoe Frazer-Klotz; and Hilary, her husband Rob Steinman, and their two children Lucy and Paulina.
A service will be held at Congregation Sharah Zedek on Wednesday, July 26, at 11:00 AM. Internment will follow at River Bend Cemetery, in Westerly. The family will receive friends and family at Nancy’s home from 7 to 9 on Wednesday and Thursday evening at 10 No Bottom Pond Road in Westerly.
