Renata Emily Ford

Renata Emily Ford, 68 of Narragansett, RI and formerly of Woonsocket, RI died peacefully on September 21, 2021 after a courageous battle with kidney disease.

Born in Westerly, RI on October 21, 1952 she was the daughter of the late Roosevelt and Sarah Caroline (Babcock) Ford.

Renata worked at ARC of Northern Rhode Island for many years before retiring. She was a proud member of the Narragansett Indian Tribe and Vice President of the NAACP of Woonsocket.

Renata will be sadly missed by her loving family, her son, Sorran Ford of Johnston, RI, April Ford her daughter of Narragansett and Caroline Ford daughter/granddaughter of Atlanta, GA. She also leaves her sister Renee’ Weeden of Hopkinton, RI and two grandchildren Sequia Ford of South Kingstown and Shiye Ford of Johnston, RI and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Roosevelt Ford Jr. and Raphel Ford.

Renata's family will greet relatives and friends of Tuesday September 28, 2021 from 12-2 PM at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St. Westerly, RI.

Burial and funeral services will be private.
