Ronald Richard Uttenweiler, 80, of Westerly, RI passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London, CT. Ronald was born on November 7, 1936 in New Haven, CT.

Ronald served his country proudly in the US Army during the Vietnam era. He went on to work for Electric Boat as a maintenance electrician for 31 years until his retirement. In his earlier years, he played softball and baseball on various men’s leagues. He enjoyed sports in general and loved talking about the games. In his free time, he would spend time at the RI beaches especially the Misquamicut Beaches. He was a strong-willed individual who lived life on his own terms. He had a “do it yourself” mentality that got him through the challenges in life. Ronald loved his country and his patriotism was so important to him. He was always concerned about our country’s children and the future of the next generation. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.

He leaves his twin sisters Ethel Abraham of CT and Eleanor Kovachi of NC along with several nieces and nephews.
