Rosa L. Strangman

Rosa Lynn Cobun Strangman was born to parents Bertha Fields and Marshall Cobun on September 17, 1959 in Long Beach California. After struggling and bravely fighting against a terminal illness she lost the battle and passed away in her home in Westerly Rhode Island on 05/09/2022 surrounded by her loving family.  Rosa was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, nana, and wife whose beauty and memory will never be forgotten and will continue to live on.  

Rosa left behind her loving husband Richard Strangman in Westerly Rhode Island, sister Theresa Pelfrey Pickens S.C., brother Ray Cobun Pickens S.C., sister Alice Sines Reidsville West Virginia.  As well as her four children Davie Culpepper Greenville S.C., Karen Dunbar Spartanburg S.C., Shana Marshbanks Spartanburg S.C., Cherie Toney Westerly Rhode Island. Rosa was also a very proud and loving Nana to fifteen loving grandchildren.  Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, brother Marshall Cobun Jr. and sister Diana Freeman Pickens South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers the family request a donation in Rosa’s honor be made to a local Hope Hospice Foundation.  For those interested in attending her Celebration of Life are asked to reach out to the family for more information.
