Russell R. Chipperfield, Jr. 84, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2021, at his home. He was the husband of the late Nancy (Bennett) Chipperfield (1939 – 2014).
Born in Fall River, MA on February 1, 1937, he was the son of the late Russell Sr. and Henrietta (Pillmear) Chipperfield
Russell served in the U.S. Army in the late 1950s, at which time he was stationed in Germany. After his tour was complete, he returned to the States, got married and settled in North Stonington, CT. He spent most of his adult life as a builder in eastern Connecticut, first as a general contractor, then later as owner and operator of a pair of swimming pool sales and installation businesses. In 1970, he built his dream home, brick by brick, in Mystic CT. He retired in 1999, and moved to Lancaster in 2005. He liked raising dogs, and was a life long fan of the Boston Red Sox and Dallas Cowboys. In their later years, Russell and Nancy enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren.
He leaves two sons; Michael Chipperfield and his wife Ann (Kohanski) of Columbia, MD and Ronald Chipperfield and his wife Trinh Huynh of Lancaster, PA. He also leaves four grandchildren, Ryan and Hannah Chipperfield, and Kaylie and Sarah Troung. He was preceded in death by Nancy, his wife of 55 years.

A graveside service will be held privately by the family at River Bend Cemetery, Westerly. Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St. Westerly, RI 02891 is assisting the family with arrangements.
