Sheila Ann Birkbeck Alfonso

Sheila Ann Birkbeck Alfonso, 52, of Westerly, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday February 11, 2018. She was the loving wife of Ronald A. Alfonso, Jr. Sheila was born on January 21, 1966 in Westerly, RI, and was the daughter of the late Stephen Birkbeck and Mary Ellen (King) Shulda and her husband Robert W. Shulda, Jr.

Sheila had worked as an embroiderer for Techno Logo and also kept active in her free time. She loved fishing, hunting, horseback riding along with long walks on the beach. She also enjoyed watching her TV Westerns on rainy days. Most importantly, she loved her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Besides her husband Ron, she leaves her children Cynthia, Amanda, Michael, Kyle, Kayla, Ronald, III, Chelsea; three step-children Jill, Krisi and Rebecca; 9 grandchildren; her siblings Dawn Birkbeck, Karen Simmons and her husband Kevin, and Gary Birkbeck and his wife Kelli; along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant son Frank.

Funeral services will be held at a later date in the spring. Buckler- Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main Street, Westerly, RI 02891 is assisting the family with the arrangements.
