Rev Stephen P. Natsis

Rev. Fr. Stephen P. Natsis, Ph.D, 90, of Waterbury, CT died peacefully on November 11, 2023 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Diane (Tsefrekas) Natsis.

Born in Webster, MA, on July 31, 1933. He was the son of Panagiots S. and Sophie (Kiekie) Natsis.

Father Stephen served the Greek Orthodox Faith for over sixty years. A graduate of Bartlett High school in Webster, MA and Holy Cross Seminar in Brookline, MA class of 1957. He was ordained a deacon and a priest in 1957 by Archbishop Michael of North and South American. His first parish was All Saints in Weirton, WV where he served from 1957-1972 next he was transferred to St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church in Albany, NY where he served from 1972-1986 and then Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox in Waterbury and finally retiring from St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Bristol, CT in 2014. He was a life member of the Order of AHEPA chapter #110.

He will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Sophia Michael and Maria Kuzmich (Michael). He also leaves his four grandchildren, Evan Michael, Christiana Michael, John Kuzmich and Stephanie Corazzal (Anthony) and one great grandson Dimitri Michael and his beloved sister, Celia Grossomanides and her husband John G. of Westerly, RI and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 9-10 AM at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 247 Washington St., Norwich, CT 06360 with divine liturgy starting at 10:00 AM with funeral service at 11:15 AM.

Burial will follow in River Bend Cemetery, Beach St. Westerly, RI.
