Teresa Ruth Johnson

Teresa Ruth Johnson, 55 of Westerly, RI passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 after a long illness.
Terry was raised in Westborough, MA among a large and loving family. She was the daughter of the late James and Ruth (McAvoy) Johnson and sister to the late Thomas Johnson.
She will be remembered for her kind heartedness, and her generosity will be greatly missed. She loved to travel with family and friends, and spent three years traveling across America as a nanny to her nephew Tanner. She enjoyed her summers working on Block Island at the Old Harbor Take Out with her family and friends. Terry worked many years at Com Gas in Southborough, MA, then after her travels she spent her remaining years at CSC in Groton, CT enjoying the friendships she developed there.
Terry is survived by her seven siblings; Gail (Mike) Dugan, Dennis (JoAnn) Johnson, Michael (Sherry) Johnson, Judy (Tom) Benson, Peggy Nelson, Jeffrey (Kathy) Johnson, Maureen (John) Butler, eighteen loving nieces and nephews; and six great-nieces and nephews.
Teresa's family will receive friends on Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 12-2pm at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly, RI. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Teresa's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
