Wallace S. Lewis, Sr.

Wallace “Wally” S. Lewis Sr., of Westerly, RI died peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Westerly Hospital.
Born in Freeport, NY on March 13, 1937 he was the son of the late Harold and Cora (Smith) Lewis.
Mr. Lewis had been a Line Foreman at Narragansett Electric/National Grid for 30 years before his retirement. He was an avid golfer and boater and served in the National Guard.
Wally will be sadly missed by his children; Wallace Lewis, Jr. of Westerly, RI, and Tracy Merritt of Charlestown, RI. He was the loving grandfather of Taylor Merritt and Corey Merritt. He also leaves his sister; Jane Laux of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, his long- time companion of 20 years; Joan Flaumenbaum of Farmingdale, NY and his former wife; Judith Lewis of Ashaway, RI. He was predeceased by his sister; Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Carman.
The Lewis family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 4-7:30 PM at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly, RI with a service at 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
