Walter F. Mills, Jr.

Walter F. Mills, Jr., 75, of Ashaway, RI died peacefully on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Anne (Del Santo) Mills.

Born in Westerly, RI on April 9, 1945, he was the son of the late Walter F. and Edith (Rhodes) Mills.

Walter grew up in Hopkinton city and attended local schools. He went on to become a Machinist for Davis Standard for the last 27 years.

He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, papa, and grandpa.  He enjoyed his home, family, hiking, camping, and eating out.

Besides his loving wife Anne of 49 years, he will be missed by his son, Walter Mills IV (Rebekah) and his daughter Dawn (Rob).

He was papa to Nathaniel and Isaac, and grandpa to Julius and Emily.  He was also the step grandfather to Logan.

He was predeceased by his brother Marvin and sister Susan.  He also leaves several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service and celebration of Walter’s life will be held at a later date.
