William “Bill” L. Briggs, Sr., 64, of Bradford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at the Westerly Hospital. He was the loving husband of Ruth M. (Allen) Briggs. Born in Providence, RI on September 3, 1958, he was the son of the late George and Bertha (sweet) Briggs.
Bill was a hardworking and dedicated driver for the Town of Charlestown for over 34 years. Outside of work he loved to watch TV especially race car events, football, and of course his favorite show Yellowstone. He loved to relax and listen to Bob Seger along with spending time outdoors hunting and fishing along with gardening in his yard. Bill also was a member of the muster team for the Bradford Fire Department. He was a fun family guy and will be so dearly missed by all who knew him.
Besides his wife Ruth he leaves his son William Briggs Jr and partner Bethany Gingerella of Westerly, daughter Catherine Lallo and partner Ed Hoag of Lincoln, Grandchildren Megan, Nisa and partner Keith, Wyatt, and Addison. Great-grandchildren Lucas, Liam, Sophia. Brothers Stephen Briggs and wife Elizabeth, Robert “Bobby” Briggs and wife Marie and John Briggs. Along with several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 12:00pm (Noon) on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St. Westerly. Family and friends may gather from 10:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
