Anna Caramiciu of Charlestown, RI passed away peacefully on Friday, April 15, 2022 at The Elderwood of Scallop Shell in Wakefield, RI where she was lovingly cared for, for the past 5 years. She was the wife of the late Dr. Dumitru Caramiciu. Born in Plan Czechoslovakia on February 19, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Anton and Maria (Hirsh) Thummerer.
She was a homemaker most of her life and a wonderful mom and grandma.
She loved animals, cats especially. She was a great chess player and golfer.
She leaves her children Madellaine Costello (Raymond) and Alexander Caramiciu of Texas, Thomas and Pam of Florida, and Daughter-in-law Martha Rice.
She was predeceased by 3 of her children Ekaterina Bertwell, George Caramiciu and Constantin Sticker Caramiciu.
She leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at a later date to be announced.
