Bernice Inez Armstrong

Bernice Inez Armstrong, 83, of North Stonington, CT, passed away peacefully with family Wednesday March 15, 2023. She was the wife of John E Armstrong Sr. for 38 years when he passed away in 2006.
Bernice was known to her oldest friends as “Cheech”, a name given to her by her younger sister that served as an endearing nickname her entire life. Most people knew her as Bernice, but “mom” to her 7 children and their spouses and “Nanny” to her 12 grandchildren. People loved to be around Bernice, her kindness and sense of humor always set people at ease. Although living with a debilitating spinal disease and being in pain from childhood, she focused on other people and put their needs above her own.

Bernice was a devoted mother and loving wife, generous and kind, she was resolute in her love of God and conviction to her faith as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, of which she remained steadfast.
