Elaine (Hindle) Nelson, 68, of Charlestown, RI, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Westerly Hospital. She was the loving wife of Robert W. Nelson, Sr. and together they shared 48 years of marriage. Born in South Kingstown, RI on May 24, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Evelyn (Sherman) Hindle.

From playing the clarinet in the Westerly Band, giving voice lessons at the Y.M.C.A. along with dedicating her talents in the bell choir and the choir at St. Mark’s church, she loved every opportunity to be a musician. She also enjoyed line dancing at the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center. Most importantly, she loved her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Besides her husband Bob, she leaves her son Robert W. Nelson, Jr.; her siblings Robert A. Hindle, Donald E. Hindle, Diane E. (Hindle) Loper and Charles S. Hindle and his wife Kathleen along with several nieces and nephews.
