Born in Warwick, RI he was the son of Harry V. and Dolores (Senerchia) Pontarelli.
He was a communicant of St. Pius X. Church in Westerly.
Besides his parents he will be sadly missed by his son John V. Pontarelli Jr., his sister Lisa Corey and brother David Pontarelli.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family.
