Nancy-Lou Scott

Nancy-Lou (Howard) Scott, 74, of Westerly, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Westerly Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of Larry C. Scott. Born in Cranston on October 19, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elaine (Moran) Howard.

Nancy worked as the MTC Coordinator for Cox Communications for many years until her retirement in 2012. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, reading and spending time with her family.

Besides her husband Larry, she leaves her daughters, Wendy A. Tucker (Fred) of Sorrento, FL, Cheryl L. Stefanski (Douglas) of Charlestown, RI and her daughter-in-law Mary L. Scott Stookey of Ashaway RI. Nancy will also be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Quinten, Sydney and Chandler Scott, Danielle and Brian Stefanski and Katherine D’Ostuni. She is also survived by her siblings Kenneth Howard (Donna) of Rehoboth, MA and Paula McGowan (George) of North Stonington, CT several nieces and nephews, and her life-long friends Bruce and Carol Tetlow. Nancy was preceded in death by her son Larry Scott, Jr.

A celebration of Nancy-Lou’s life will be held at 11am on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home,121 Main St. Westerly, RI 02891. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 9am to 11am. Committal services will be held at a later date.
