Nora A Luther

Nora (DiPaola) Luther of Westerly, RI, peacefully departed on June 25, 2021, at the age of 95. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Theresa (Nigrelli) DiPaola. She is survived by her daughters, Valerie (John) Sistare of Westerly,  Gloria (Jerry) Morrison of Mt. Pleasant, SC and her son, George (Susan) Luther of Naples, FL. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Joshua Luther, Megan Ralph, Maureen Thompson, Stephen Morrison, John Sistare, Fr. Brian Sistare, and Bethany Kennedy. In addition, she is survived by 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, George Luther and her 4 sisters, Sally Devine, Lee Serra, Betty Serra, Antoinette Valliere, and four brothers, Michael DiPaola, Clarence DiPaola, Joseph DiPaola and Vito DiPaola.
Mrs. Luther served as the credit manager for the Westerly Sears Roebuck Co. store. She later became the assistant to the manager at the Waterford Crystal Mall Sears store.
She was an active member of the St. Pius X parish in Westerly serving on many committees.
. The Luther family will greet relatives and friends on Monday June 28, 2021 from 4-7 PM at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St. Westerly, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday June 29, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Pius X. Church, 44 Elm St. Westerly, RI. There will be no procession from the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Sebastian Cemetery Westerly, RI.
