Olga Maria Pancrazio

August 3, 1942 ~ October 15, 2019 (age 77) 77 Years Old

Tribute

Olga Maria (Botelho) Pancrazio, 77, of Charlestown, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at RI Hospital. She was the wife of Charles Anthony Pancrazio and together they shared 46 years of marriage. Born in the Azores, Portugal on August 3, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Antonio da Silva and Maria (Machado) Botelho.

Olga was the epitome of the American dream. She came from humble beginnings and was fortunate enough to be able to make it to the U.S. and become an American citizen. Through hard work and determination, she was successful in her career as a Group Leader in the Electric Assembly Department at Perkin-Elmer Corp. While working there, she met the love of her life Charlie and together they raised their two sons. One of Olga’s virtues was to put her children first, always denying herself for the sake of her two boys. She was proud of her boys and their accomplishments through the years and she was especially proud of the loving family men that they became. Family gatherings were important, especially over Thanksgiving, her favorite holiday. During that time she loved spending time her with grandchildren and great-grandchildren and learning about what was going on in their lives. In her free time, she loved to read and spend time at her favorite place in the world … her home in Rhode Island. She also loved caring for and admiring her plants and flowers. She would garden; maintain brightly colored arrangements in pots both inside and outside of her home and do anything to attract hummingbirds. Olga was a strong, self-determined woman and role model to her family and friends, particularly her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Besides her husband Charlie, she leaves her sons Mark Pancrazio and his wife Linda and Jeff Pancrazio and his wife Suzette; her grandchildren Alissa, Julia and Celina; her great-grandchildren Charlotte and Kylie; her siblings Paulo Botelho, Ruth May and her husband Ned and Deborah Botelho. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private celebration of her life at a later date. Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St. Westerly, RI is assisting the family with arrangements.
