Born in the Bronx, New York, on February 17th, 1931, she was the daughter of the Ignatius J. and Henrietta A. LaRosa. Pat grew up in Pelham Manor, NY and graduated from Hollins College in Virginia. She married William E. Dumke Sr. on June 30th, 1955.
Pat raised her family in Scarsdale, NY and resided there from 1967 to 1998, where Pat worked as a real estate agent at Julia B. Fee. Pat was known for her panache in fashion as well as decorating. Pat and Bill Dumke retired to Stonington, CT, where she became a docent at the Lyman Allen Museum in New London, CT. Sadly, Bill died in April 2001 of pancreatic cancer. In 2006, Pat met and married Gordon A. Thomas, splitting time between their homes in Stonington and West Lebanon, NH, continuing to enjoy music, art, lectures and traveling.
Most importantly, Pat loved being a mother, she put her heart and soul into it, dedicating herself to her family, creating a home-life built on love and commitment.
Pat was predeceased in death by her parents, both Bill Dumke and Gordon Thomas, and her siblings, John LaRosa and Janet (LaRosa) Hohn. She is survived by her five children: William Dumke Jr, and his wife Kelley Gipson of Charlestown, RI; John Dumke and his wife Kristina of Westport, CT; Andrea McDonald and her husband Brian of Stamford, CT; Leslie Dumke of New Haven, CT: and Sarah Dumke of Bellevue, WA.
