Peter J. Mitchell

Peter J. Mitchell, 95, of Stonington, CT, died peacefully on Friday, March 9, 2018. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Parandelis) Mitchell.
Born in Andros, Greece on January 20, 1923 he was the son of the late John and Sylvia (Mexi) Mitchell.
Peter had been the Head Chef at several local restaurants including the former Green Haven Inn and Seaman’s Inn in Mystic, CT.
Peter will be sadly missed by his daughter; Beth Olmstead and her husband John, of Stonington, CT. He was the loving grandfather of T.J. Olmstead and Megan Olmstead and great-grandfather of Sam and Georgia Olmstead.
A private funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 with burial following at River Bend Cemetery.
