Randall Scott Deer

Randall (“Randy”) Scott Deer, 51, of Westerly, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020. He was born in Waterville, Maine to Joseph Poulin and Diane Norma Colford (Deer), who later married John William Deer.

Randy worked at Hitachi Cable for many years where he was valued as a dedicated and hard worker. In his youth, Randy earned a black belt in karate; he was also a life-long Miami Dolphins fan, and enjoyed spending time with friends. Above all, Randy loved his children and had great pride in their accomplishments. He enjoyed assistant coaching on several sports teams and attending his children’s games and events.

He leaves behind his three children Elizabeth Accardo and her husband Maxwell, Lennox Deer and Shea Deer; his father John W. Deer; his siblings Lee Deer and his wife Keleen, Jody Davies and her husband Michael, Shawn Deer and his wife Luanne, John R. Deer and his wife Nicole, Rory Deer and his wife Christina, Joseph Poulin Jr. and his wife Darcey, Amy Crosby and her husband Michael; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Joseph Poulin, and Diane N. Deer.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St. Westerly, RI 02891 is assisting the family with arrangements.
