SK2 Raymond M. Ferrara Sr. (Westerly), 79, died at home on Saturday, July 23, 2022. He was the loving husband of his pre deceased wife of 40 years, Barbara (Bergstrom) Ferrara.
He was the beloved father of Elisabeth (Ferrara) King and son-in-law, Michael King. He was also the best Papa ever to Emily King (of Troy, New York), Hannah King, Erika King and Bella King. He was pre deceased by his son, Raymond Ferrara Jr.
For decades, Raymond proudly served in the United States Navy. He was stationed all over the world and served in the Iraqi War. His achievements during his military career remained some of his proudest moments, including his reenlistment in 1992.
Raymond enjoyed fishing, old movies, football, music and the company of his friends and loved ones. He was generous with his time and open with his heart.
A private burial with Military Honors was received at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, Rhode Island.
